Common questions

A recap link shows no photos.
Image links are signed for fifteen minutes. If the page sat open for longer than that, reload it. If it still shows nothing, the recap has been unpublished by the person who made it.
How do I take a recap down?
Unpublish it from the Recaps tab in the app, or from your account page here on the web. Unpublishing removes the page and deletes the uploaded images from storage.
How do I export my data?
Sign in on your account page and use “Export my data”. You get a JSON file with your profile, your devices, your recaps and your synced app state.
How do I delete my account?
From the app's settings, or from your account page. Deletion unpublishes your recaps straight away, and the data is purged within 30 days.
The app is still indexing my photos.
The first launch on a large library takes a few minutes: Yesterday builds its search index on the device. Search works while it runs and returns results from whatever has been indexed so far.
Search cannot find something I know is there.
Try describing the picture rather than naming the event — “red umbrella on the beach” beats “holiday 2024”. Add a date phrase like “last weekend” to narrow it down.

Reporting a recap

If a published recap contains your photo, your likeness, or anything illegal, use the takedown process. You do not need an account to file a report.

Security

If you have found a vulnerability, email (no support address configured — set SUPPORT_EMAIL) with “security” in the subject line and enough detail to reproduce it. Please give us a reasonable window to fix it before publishing. We will confirm receipt and keep you updated.
